Kelp Meal is a natural source of trace elements containing nutrients from A to Z; it conditions the soil, builds soil life, retains moisture and stimulates root and plant growth. It also improves yields and reduces the effect of drought and frost. Another practical method of using Kelp Meal is by applying it as an animal feed supplement; it improves production as well as enriches the animals manure for use in compost or on crops. Kelp Meal is made from dehydrated Ascophyllum Nodosum seaweed. Because it isn’t water soluble, the nutrients must be released by microbial activity. Therefore, allow two weeks for Kelp Meal to become available to plants.
This product also qualifies with local NOP certifiers for use as an organic fertilizer/soil amendment, however, while it can also be safely used for livestock feed, it is not "certified" for organic livestock uses.
